The chicken inasal is a popular dish from the City of Bacolod, Philippines. Unlike the usual barbecue or grilled chicken that uses soy sauce, this dish uses different ingredients for its marinade and basting sauce that create a unique flavor. Key to this unique flavor is the native coconut vinegar and calamansi (local lime fruit) which gives it the distinct taste and smell that only an authentic Bacolod chicken inasal is known for. The smoked flavor added by cooking the meat on a hot charcoal grill imbibes the marinade and makes the dish tastier. This dish is also distinct for its yellowish color brought about by the application of achuete.

Chicken inasal is best served on wooden plates lined with banana leaf plates that give it the look, feel and taste of what truly is an authentic inasal and eaten in some cases using your bare hands. Carinderias (street eateries) or popularly known as the "Manokan Country" along the streets of Bacolod serve the inasal skewered on bamboo sticks right off the grill 24 hours a day. This dish is best eaten with garlic rice and basting sauce known popularly as chicken oil.

Today, the popular chicken inasal that originated from Bacolod City is now present in almost all major cities in the Philippines serving not only the popular chicken inasal but as well as other Ilonggo delicacies such as the La Paz Batchoy, Pancit Molo, Dinuguan with Puto Manapla, the tasty fresh lumpia, and the sour tasting soup Kansi.

Bacolod Chk-n-BBQ House was founded by an enterprising couple who started the business in 2004 after years of working in the food manufacturing and fast-food restaurant industry. Spurned by the success of its first branch in Pasig City, the brand open up more locations in new malls and commercial establishments in and around Metro Manila. Because of the huge demand for the brand to open up in locations outside Metro Manila, the company developed its franchise program that offers a more affordable investment package with a faster ROI rate than other competitors in the casual dining restaurant segment. The brand has since expanded to the Mindanao region with the opening of Iligan and Dipolog branch. Another milestone for the brand is the recent and hugely successful opening of its international stores in Dubai and Qatar in 2014 and this will be followed with the soon to open branches in the State of Kuwait, Sultanate of Oman, Kingdom of Bahrain, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Myanmar in the second half of 2015.

Bacolod Chk-n-BBQ House is a Filipino themed, middle price range casual dining restaurant chain that seeks to become a Filipino restaurant institution known not only for its authentic tasting chicken inasal and traditional Filipino dishes but also for its penchant of providing great food experience giving enjoyable and lasting memories to customers. The original recipes have its roots in Bacolod City in the 70s from a well known and popular restaurant institution and have been passed on to the new generation using the same ingredients and cooking process that has endured through the years.

Motivated to become the best chicken inasal chain in the country, the brand stands true to its promise to serve its customers the best tasting and truly authentic chicken inasal wherein they could utter "MANAMIT GID" ( Delicious)” after every bite.
